Georgia Mangum Stocks

Georgia Magnum Stocks, 67, passed away on June 7, 2022, after struggling with poor health over the last few years.

Georgia was born on November 9, 1954, to the late William Mangum and Bessie Lunsford Mangum of Durham, NC. After graduating from North Carolina Central in Durham she began her long career as a registered nurse. Not only was Georgia an outstanding nurse she was also a recipient of The Great 100 Nurses of North Carolina. During her nursing career she mentored numerous young nurses who are saving lives today. The care she gave her patients was her top priority and her compassion and strong will helped to pull some of her critical patients through. During her time at the Greenville hospital, she exemplified compassion, dignity, and respect. God put Georgia on earth to help those who could not help themselves. Georgia helped as many people as she could, and she can now rest.

She is survived by her daughter, Endia Mangum, and her sister, Patricia Mangum.
