Georgia Rae Glynn, of Estero, FL passed into the Lord's arms on February 28, 2021 at Hope Hospice in Bonita Springs following a struggle with cancer. She was 67, born on September 19, 1953 in Joliet, IL.
Georgia is survived by her husband of 41 years, Christopher; her son, Gavin; and grandson, Kelan Glynn; her sister, Monica (Reiter) O'Brien and brother, Scott (Mary Beth) Reiter; and sisters-in-law, Deborah (William) Loftus and Ann (Leonard) Harsy. Georgia was the delight of numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ruth (Keigher) and George Laverne Reiter.
Georgia attended Providence HS in New Lenox, IL, Bradley University in Peoria, IL and the University of Illinois for a master's degree in Library Science. She was a reference librarian and Library Director - not surprisingly an avid reader and book club aficionado.
She was a woman of great faith and lent her many talents to parish, school and community projects. Georgia was a stylish decorator with a keen sense of color, lighting, proportion, and function. She blessed everyone with her cheerful, fun spirit and zest for life. She was a joiner and organizer who had a way of helping all enjoy the moment and the company. Georgia was loyal, supportive, strong, gracious and generous. She is beloved in every respect.
The Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Light Catholic Community 19680 Cypress View Drive, Fort Myers, FL 33967 on Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at 11:00 am.
A Memorial Mass will be scheduled at a date to be determined at Blessed Sacrament Church, Morton, IL.
