Mrs. Georgia Ellen Bolton, Mooresville, went Home to be with the Lord on the early morning of Monday, February 22, 2021. She was 92. Georgia was born April 3, 1928 in Indianapolis, Indiana a daughter of the late Samuel A. and Mary A. (Mobley) Bishop.
Georgia attended Plainfield High School and she earned her GED in 1997 at the age of 49 years. She had been employed at the Central State Hospital for several years and retired in 1987. Georgia was a member of the Mooresville Senior Center and she enjoyed spending time with her many friends there. She was also a member of the Crossroads Church of Mooresville where she loved being with her church family. She was active in many areas of ministry at the church and was always ready to serve. She spent much of her leisure time cooking for her family, camping and fishing and doing crafts. She was a lady of much wisdom and intuition and she mentored many who sought her insight and advice. She dearly loved her family and they meant everything to her. She looked forward to family gatherings and spending time with those she loved.
Georgia is survived by her children, Debra Stover (James Adams), Ada Brown, Barney Stover and Mary (Craig) Fenneman; 14 grandchildren; several great and great-great-grandchildren; her siblings, Melvin (Doris) Bishop, Don (Chris) Bishop, Barbara Hurt and Mandy Young as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in passing by her husband, James Bolton; her children, Margie Feeback and Thomas Singleton; a grandson, Glen Austin, Jr., and her brothers, Charlie Bishop, William Bishop and Steven Bishop.
Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 pm, Friday, February 26, 2021 at Crossroads Church of Mooresville, 10967 N. Kitchen Road, Mooresville, IN with Pastor Curtis White officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood. The family will receive friends from 10:30 am until the time of service Friday at the church.
