Georgette T. Coutu passed away peacefully on April 28, 2024. Georgette was born on December 6, 1929 to Edmond DeBlois and Albertine (Demarais) DeBlois in Laconia, NH. She was raised in Manchester, NH, and was a graduate of St. Marie High School. Georgette completed several years of voice training, becoming a professional singer in many local musicals and often accompanied her twin brother, George's band. She married Omer Coutu and moved to Vernon, CT in 1956, where her husband was employed for many years at Max Matt, Inc. She was a member of the Rockville General Hospital Auxiliary participating in many Follies, and was also a member of the American Legion Women's Auxiliary of Ellington, CT, Unit 62. She welcomed her only beloved son, David into the world in 1962. Mrs. Coutu was a long time employee and friend of Tom and Bette Wolff.
Georgette leaves her sister-in-law, Pauline, her nephew Ricky and his family, her nieces Charlene, Donna, Rosie, Vicky and their families, her best friends Beverly Jacobsen, Betsy Saucier, Lorraine Bernier, and Elaine Speiker, and many other friends. She is pre-deceased by her beloved son David, twin brother George, and older brother Vic.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 AM on Wednesday, May 15th at St. Joseph Church, 33 West St. Rockville, CT followed by burial at Mount Calvary Cemetery in Manchester, NH. For online condolences please visit: www.pietrasfuneralhome.com
