
George Arnold Nicholson
Amazing man, loved by all! Our Dad, our hero! Gone but not forgotten.
George Arnold Nicholson, 73, a resident of Lake Charles passed from his life on October 9, 2017. George was a loving father, brother, and friend. He served with honor and distinction in the United States Army and received a Purple Heart during the Vietnam War. Mr. Nicholson proudly served as past President of the Lake Charles Raquet Club, and was a member of Toastmasters. He attended Northwestern State University.
Afterwards, he owned Acadian Honda in New Iberia Andy upon returning to Lake Charles he owned and operated a number of used car dealerships. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing tennis, racing motocross, and watching football and spending time with family. He is predeceased by his parents; Clifford “Nick” Nicholson and Virginia Arnold Nicholson. He leaves to cherish his
Memory; his three daughters , Ashley Nicholson Duhon, Brittney Nicholson Rhodes and husband Dalton, And Kelly Nicholson; seven grandchildren; Dylan Ardoin, Madison Ardoin, Tanner Shaw, Nicholas Duhon, Harper Rhodes, Hollis Rhodes, Hayzel Rhodes; great-grandson Jensen Ardoin; two sisters, Sally Nicholson Bryant and husband Teddy and Susan Nicholson Bushnell and husband Rayburn; niece Leigh Trouard Bryant and husband Tommy and their childr Lauren and Nathan Bryant.; niece Dena Bailey; nephew Keith Bailey; former spouse and best friend Judy Bailey Lavergne; and his faithful companion , Buddy.
