George L. Manias Concord, NH — Celebration of Life Hon. George L. Manias July 31, 1935 – May 18, 2020 George L. Manias, beloved and cherished husband, father, and grandfather passed away on May 18, 2020. He was born in Concord, NH and lived most of his life in his favorite city. He attended Concord public schools, Tufts University and Suffolk Law School. He began his professional career at the Office of the NH Attorney General, and then practiced law as a partner at Cleveland, Waters & Bass. He was appointed to the NH Superior Court in 1985, and he continued his work with the NH justice system until 2019. He married the love his life, Diane Haeussler, in 1961, and they enjoyed a beautiful life together until Diane's passing in 2018. George and Diane had two children whom they adored: William Manias (Gretchen), of Houston, TX and Islamorada, FL and Xanthi (Daniel) of Portsmouth, NH. They cherished five grandchildren: Andrew and Hayden Manias; and Lannon, Kealey and Ainsley Gray. George ("Papou") and Diane ("Dee Dee") were their grandchildren's idols, and their unconditional love, kindness, generosity, support and guidance are remembered and felt every day. George was predeceased by his wife, Diane, in 2018 and their beloved grandson, Andrew, in 2020. Due to Covid, a graveside service for immediate family was held in May 2020. Please join the family of George Manias to celebrate his remarkable life, on July 5, 2022, from 4:00-6:00 PM in the New Hampshire Room of the Concord Hotel, 11 South Main Street, Concord, NH. Calling hours will be from 4:00 – 5:00 PM and will be followed by brief remarks and remembrances. Light refreshments will be served.
