Great Grandpa evidently liked being married. Every time a wife died, George began looking for another one. He was married three times.
George was the son of John Wesley Crouch and Rebecca Elizabeth Kidd. George moved to Missouri with his parents while a young boy. While in Missouri both of his parents and one elder brother died of a low country illness. When his parents died, George moved back to Tennessee with his brothers and sisters.
His first wife was his first cousin Lucinda Ann Jennings who was born 1-Aug-1834 Fentress County, Tennessee and died 18-Oct-1867 Fentress County, Tennessee. Lucinda was the daughter of Anna Crouch and Mark Jennings. George and Lucinda were married 31-Mar-1851 Fentress County, Tennessee. Lucinda was 16 and George was 18 at the time of the marriage.
