George Samuel Adams Jr.-also fondly known as "Jack", 81, passed away January 21, 2024 at the Hyder Family Hospice House in Dover, NH. He was born March 7, 1942 in Brentwood, NH, son of the late George Samuel Adams Sr. and Sarah Marguerite (Smart) Adams.
Jack grew up in the Epping and Fremont area and was the ninth of ten children in his family. He graduated from Epping High School where he met the love of his life, Sandra "Sandy" Emerson. Jack enlisted into the US Army and his entry date was on June 22, 1960. Shortly after on August 30, 1960, Jack and Sandy were married. Jack served overseas as an airplane mechanic and was honorably discharged on June 13, 1963. He was quite talented in repairing anything mechanical which led him into his career as a tool and dye maker. Most of his professional life, he was self-employed making molds at his business-Legend Arms Tool & Dye. One of Jack's most successful molds was for the "Bic" lighter. He also held a patent for a muzzle loader that he made on his own. In his younger years, Jack was a race car driver competing mostly at Lee Speedway and Star Speedway. He liked to take deer hunting trips in upstate NY with his close family. The thing he enjoyed most was spending time and making memories with his grandchildren. Jack lived the majority of his life in Epping, but formerly resided in Northwood, NH and the children were raised in Lyndeborough, NH.
In addition to his parents, Jack was predeceased by his wife, Sandy Adams who died January 23, 2017 and all of his siblings.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Carole and Sean O'Regan, daughter, Linda Adams and her significant other, Michael "Mike" Hennessey, daughter, Sandra "Missy" Adams, long time son-in-law which whom he was close with, Darren Victoria, 10 grandchildren, Sarah, Ryane, Meghan, Shaun Ashley, Kevin Jr. "Bo", Krysten, Shaelyn, Jack, Nicole, and Derek, as well as 12 great-grandchildren, Harper, Liam, Wyatt, Noah, Mya, Ryder, Jaxon, Austin, Mason, Owen, Jack "Little Jack", AJ, and a little baby girl on the way, He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours with the family will be held on Thursday January 25, 2024 from 6-8pm at the Brewitt Funeral Home, 9 Pleasant St., Epping, NH.
A graveside service with military honor will be held at a later date in the spring at the Pine Grove Cemetery, Northwood, NH.
