Arnold Eugene Ingle of Tahoka passed away on Monday, April 12, 2021 at the age of 86. He was born on January 4, 1935 in Post to Clifford T. and Lois Mildred (Pollard) Ingle. Gene grew up on farms across Lynn County and graduated from O'Donnell High School in 1952. He joined the U.S. Army in 1957. After an honorable discharge in 1959, he continued in the Reserves. Gene married Rebecca Morrow on July 28, 1965 in Lamesa. He farmed in Lynn and Yoakum Counties until 1982. He worked at Lyntegar from 1984 until 2001. He then began working at the Dalby Federal Prison from 2008 - 2018.
Gene became a Mason in the early 1970's. He enjoyed the outdoors and relaxing at the lake, but his greatest joy was his family. He was a friend to all and never met a stranger.
Gene is survived by his wife Rebecca; daughters, Regina Ingle of Tahoka and Kim Rivas and husband Cruz of Weatherford; sister, Joretta Jones of Mt. Pleasant; and three grandchildren, Corbin, Makayla, and Layken and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Gene was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Bill Ingle.
Visitation will be Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at Combest Family Funeral Homes with the family receiving friends 5:30-7:30 p.m. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 15, 2021 at First Baptist Church with interment to follow at Nevels Memorial Cemetery.
