Genaro Zambrano, 80, of San Antonio, Texas, passed away Saturday, February 13, 2021. He was born on March 1, 1940 in Encinal, Texas, to the late Jesus Zambrano and the late Rosa Aldaco. Genaro attended school in Encinal, Texas, where he also worked to help support his mother and siblings. When he was older, he moved to San Antonio where he worked for the City of San Antonio for a time. He then moved on to work in construction where he learned and perfected his trade in masonry design and brick laying. He eventually owned his own construction company. Many shopping malls, apartment complexes, business buildings, subdivisions and specially designed fireplaces in and around San Antonio and South Texas bear his God given talents. In his spare time, he loved watching western movies, novelas, the Dallas Cowboys & the San Antonio Spurs. He also enjoyed going to flea markets to visit with friends and loved to help those who were down on their luck.
Genaro is survived by his son, Carney Zambrano (Doris), of Gonzales, Texas; his partner in love, Maria Elena Pena Bosquez of San Antonio and their three children, Maricela Pena (Gabriel), Brenda Pena-Partida (Jesse), of San Antonio & Jorge Bosquez of Corpus Christi, Texas. He is also survived by seven sisters, Celia Sanchez, Delia Garcia, Norma Palacios, Irma Arizola, Letty Narvaiz, Benita Leal & Sara Narvaiz; three brothers, Perfecto Delgado, Ismael Delgado & Rogelio Delgado; his first wife, Kim Zambrano, 10 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren & many nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents & one brother, Benito Narvaiz.
The Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 1 pm Saturday, April 17, 2021 in Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Encinal. Friends and family may leave their condolences by visiting www.seydlerhillfuneralhome.com.
