Gayle Anderson

Mrs. Gayle Faith Anderson, age 86, passed away on January 30, 2026. Gayle was born in Mankato, Minnesota and attended St. Clair High School. Gayle was a graduate of Mankato State University and taught English and German at St. Peter High School for most of her career. She was a devoted grandmother and a passionate reader who often read a book a day during her retirement. She was also a Head Start volunteer for many years.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Michael Anderson, her parents, Elta (Frank) Schwandt and Lowell Schwandt, and her brother, Maynard Schwandt. She is survived by her daughter, Karen Anderson (Ted) Posner of Bethesda, Maryland, and son Fred (Gabrielle Zucarro) Anderson of Los Angeles, California; and her 4 grandchildren, Justin, Erica, and Georges Posner, and Mars Anderson.
