Gary C. Russell, 67, of Charleston, W.Va., died Saturday, July 13, 2024, at his home from natural causes.
He was born September 18, 1956, the son of the late Robert C. Russell, II.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his mother, Loretta Ash Russell; brother, Gregory Russell; daughter, Megan Russell; three grandchildren, Brayden, Liam and Layla; nieces and nephew, Carletta, Dalton and April.
Gary was the grandson of the late Glennis and Dessie Ash; and Robert C. Russell and Dessie Martin.
He enjoyed being a radio broadcaster and was a DJ at WQBE 97.5 FM, Charleston.
Gary will be missed by all that knew him.
Per his request, he has been cremated. There will be no service or visitation. His cremated remains will be laid to rest beside his father at Clover Cemetery, Clover, W.Va.
John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, W.Va. is assisting the family with cremation arrangements.
