Gary Michael O'Neill, 65, of Moncks Corner, SC, entered into eternal rest Saturday, January 9, 2021. The family will receive friends Thursday, January 14, 2021, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm in J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Northwoods Chapel, 2180 Greenridge Road and at the home following the visitation. Due to COVID protocol, the number of attendees is limited to 40 at a time and all guests are required to wear a mask and practice social distancing.
Gary was born August 9, 1955 in Cleveland, Ohio to John and Lucille O'Neill. He grew up in Willowick, Ohio as the oldest of 9 children; Gary, John, Charlie, Kevin, Alan (Deceased), Lewie (Deceased), Mary, Brian, and Paul. He was married to Laurie Overbaugh in 1982 and had 2 children, John "Jack" and Shannon O'Neill. His grandchildren Carter and Aurora Davis, referred to him as "Papa" and he was proud of that title.
Gary worked for Parker Hannifin Aerospace for 39 years. Upon his departure from Parker, he started his own business, GO NDT LLC in 2018. He was an honored member of ASNT, ASTM, and Nadcap.
Some of Gary's favorite pastimes included hunting, fishing, spending time with his family, and watching football & westerns with his children and grandchildren.
