Born, October 16, 1946, and raised in Seminole, Oklahoma. Deceased May 17, 2022 in Dallas where he lived most all of the past 52 years.
Gary Seaman was a people person and very funny. A common comment after spending time with him was how one's face hurt from smiling and laughing.
Gary Seaman was the namesake and co-founder of GL Seaman & Co. He viewed everyone he worked with as friends and family. He prided himself in showing a sincere interest in everybody in the company. His greatest pleasure was roaming the office and warehouse to check in on everyone.
It has been said that no one loved the game of golf, playing it, practicing it, and talking about it more than Gary. He loved his home away from home, Preston Trail, and his friends who worked there and played there. He accumulated an impressive golf resume of tournaments won and proudly displayed his many trophies.
He dearly loved his wife of 52 years, Carolyn Hunt Seaman. They met their freshman year at East Central University, in Ada, Okla. He attended there on a golf scholarship and was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity. He loved music and played bass guitar in a very popular band, the Bourbons, during his college days. Some of their top billings were playing at the Oklahoma State University Howdy Day, Luannes here in Dallas, and numerous Oklahoma University fraternity parties.
He was loved by many and will be deeply missed.
He is survived by his wife, a younger brother and sister, and several nieces and nephews.
Predeceased are his father, Charles Seaman and his mother, Hazel Seaman. Also, his three dogs, Beau One, Beau Two and Beau Three.
