Mr. Gary ""Jake"" Lynn Jacobs

Mr. Gary Lynn "Jake" Jacobs, 71, of Ashford, Alabama, died on Thursday, June 15, 2023, at the South East Health Hospital in Alabama.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, June 20, 2023, at Banks Funeral Home Chapel, interment will follow in the Pine Forest Baptist Church Cemetery in Worth County with full military honors. The Rev. Chuck Locke will officiate.

Mr. Jacobs was born on October 8, 1951 Savannah, Georgia, to the late Floyd Lee Jacobs and Georgia Martin Jacobs Taylor. He had lived in Alabama for the past twenty-nine years and was a veteran, having served in the United States Marine Corps. Mr. Jacobs retired from Rock Tenn Paper Company in Alabama, where he worked as a production manager. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and grilling. Mr. Jacobs loved spending time with his family and friends, especially with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his wife, Patsy Hogan Jacobs of Ashford, Alabama; children, Robert Jacobs (Lori), Joseph Jacobs (Melissa) and Stacy Jacobs; grandchildren, Heather Morley, Peyton Jacobs, Emily Morley, Grace Morley, Crizma Jacobs and Cameron Chambless; great grandchildren, Jaydah and Cameron; siblings, Ronnie Jacobs of Georgetown, South Carolina, Darrell Jacobs of Florida, Sherry Saunders (Randy) of Georgetown, South Carolina, and a host of nieces and nephews that he loved dearly.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Jacobs was preceded in death by his in-laws, Earl and Genese Hogan, and a grandson, Austin Morey.

The family will receive friends on Monday on 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Banks Funeral Home.
