Gary Neal Folwell

Age 70, of Oscoda, MI, formerly of Walled Lake, MI and Benton, KY passed away on Tuesday, October 11, 2022. He was born on December 2, 1951 in Murray, KY to the late Iven and Treva (Hargis) Folwell. Gary married his best friend and love of his life, Ida Lucille Bartlett on May 7, 1970 in Walled Lake, MI. Together, they owned and operated G & I Quality Meats in Walled Lake. Gary was also a certified mechanic and loved working on engine repairs. In his younger years, he enjoyed playing baseball and fishing. Gary was the life of the party and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He will be missed by all those who knew and loved him. Gary is survived by his loving wife, Ida; sons, Dennis (Karen) Folwell and Ryan Folwell; grandchildren, Nicholas and Madelyn Folwell; brother, Bob Folwell; sister, Barbara (Brian) Hansen; brothers-in-law, Bob and Donald Bartlett; sister-in-law, Martha Condon and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Bill and David Folwell. A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
