Gary William Ferdyn, 60, of West Palm Beach, FL (formerly of Dalton, MA) died on 5/31/22 after a long battle with cancer. Gary was the son of Zigmund and Janice (Philbrick) Ferdyn. Gary graduated from Wahconah Regional High School in 1980. He studied Turf Management at the University of Massachusetts School of Agriculture, Amherst, MA. Gary worked as a golf club grounds keeper in Chevy Chase, MD and then for 20 years with the PGA of Florida. He also worked as a garage door technician until retirement due to health issues. Gary was a dedicated Red Sox fan and football enthusiast. He loved the the game of golf and eating Teo's hot dogs. Gary always was a home town Dalton boy. He had a passion for growing orchids. Gary was always the life of the party with such a positive and sensitive side. Gary is predeceased by his parents and brother Wayne A. Ferdyn. He is survived by his sister Pamela J. Turner of Dalton. Nephews Toby Ferdyn and Kyle Ferdyn. Nieces Courtney Hill and Kara Brown. Loving friends Art and Clare Mallen and the Adams Supermarket Crew. He also leaves many friends in Florida.A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Special thanks to Trustbridge Hospice of West Palm Beach, FL for their kindness and care.
