Gary N. Ellis
Help us celebrate Gary! Please share your stories and photos, and invite others who remember Gary.
Gary N. Ellis, 76, of Micco Florida, formerly of Ashburnham and Gardner, died peacefully at home surrounded by family and friends on June 26, 2018 following a period of declining health. Gary was born in Gardner on March 12, 1942, the son of the late Robert N. Ellis and Marjorie E, (Rice) Ellis. He graduated from Gardner High School with the class of 1960. Gary worked for many years as a printer at Adams Printing Company in Templeton. He retired to enjoy life on Lower Naukeag Lake in Ashburnham. He loved teaching his children and grandchildren swimming, boating, tubing, water skiing and just cruising the lake in his boat. He was an avid sports fan who enjoyed NASCAR races and the New England Patriots and Red Sox. He was married to Joan (Adams) Ellis for 49 years until her death in 2012. He leaves his four children, Susan Hitchcock-Gale and her husband Russ of Ashburnham, Sandi White and her fiance Ron Robichaud of Ashburnham, Sherri Brogan and her husband Patrick of Gardner, and Scott Ellis and his wife Joy of Delray Beach, Florida. He also leaves his grandchildren, David, Terrick, Tory, Teddy and Heather; his great-grandchildren, Tamara, Trevor, Mia, Terrick, Jolin, Ty, Sylis, Adrianna, Maisy and Ayden; two sisters, Jacque Ellis of Winchendon, and Bobby Lu Ellis of Kezar Falls, Maine, his companion of five years Annette Wall of Micco, Florida, along with countless other friends and family who were blessed to know him. A granddaughter, Krislin, predeceased him in 2006. A celebration of life will be held at the convenience of the family. As part of the celebration of his life, the family will organize a "parade of boats" on Lower Naukeag Lake. The parade will follow the same path he took as he cruised around on his party boat or sped around in the ski boat pulling skiers, tubers and wake boarders.
