Gail A. Maker, 74, longtime resident of Merrimack, passed away after a lengthy illness at St Joseph hospital in Nashua. She was born in Littleton, NH daughter of the late Norman and Mary Ann (Parker) Harvey. Gail worked for Kollsman and at the toll booth for many years. In her free time she enjoyed traveling, sewing, knitting and reading. She loved the Red Sox and playing Scrabble, but most of all spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She would say that happiness is a choice, and she chose to be happy. Gail will be deeply missed by her husband of 56 years Douglas Maker, daughters Amy Levesque of Center Barnstead, NH, Alison Crawford and her husband Ricky of Pembroke, NH, 9 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren (plus 3 on the way), her sister Joyce Zyla of S Daytona, FL, her brother William and his wife Andrea of Newfield, ME, and her beloved dog Zorro. At the family's request, an informal gathering will be held at a later time.
