Gail Maria George, 60, of Acworth, passed away Wednesday, April 13, 2022, peacefully at her home to join her loved ones in heaven with our Lord Almighty. Funeral mass will be held at 1:30 pm on Thursday, April 21, 2022, in the St. Clare of Assisi Catholic Church with Father Tim Nadolski officiating. Burial will follow in the Mount Olivet Catholic Cemetery in Chattanooga, TN, 11:00 am Friday, April 22, 2022. Gail was born on September 9, 1961. She was the daughter of Rita and Bill Jezewski and grew up in Chicago Ridge, IL. She attended Queen of Peace High School, before attending Illinois State University and graduating with a degree in marketing. She developed a career in the transportation industry as a marketing consultant, working in Chicago, New York, and Atlanta. Gail met her spouse, Richard, in Chicago, and they were married for 32 years. She retired in 1994 to raise her only son, Brenden, spending her free time engaging in philanthropic activities, and in particular volunteering with the Junior Service League. Gail was a devoted mother, avid gardener, and foodie. Her attention to detail, commitment to perfection, and sense of humor never went unnoticed. Gail is survived by her son, Brenden George; brother, Terry Jezewski; sister-in-laws Nancy Jezewski and Chris Curtis; cousins Linda Boyd and Corrine Janke; nephews, Craig, Michael, and Andrew Jezewski; nieces Angie Lowe, Tina Meeks, Shelley Jezewski, and Amy Shastri. Gail is predeceased by brothers; Don Jezewski July 2nd 1961 -8th of August 1994, Kent Jezewski 11th November 1953 - January 1st 2020; pets; Courtney, Chelsea, Nelson, Cleo, Alexander, Crystabel, and Aspen. The family will receive friends on Thursday April 21, 2022 from 10:00am-12:30pm at Collins Funeral Home, 4947 North Main St., Acworth, GA 30101, 770-974-3133.
