Fredrick "Fred" Charles Trane, 70, resident of Athens, Georgia and husband of Kathryn Ford Trane, died Wednesday, February 17, 2021 from complications of COVID-19 and early leukemia. Born in Pelican Rapids, MN, he was the son of the late Charles Tennis Trane and Virginia Brown Trane. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Sue Marie Pitts Trane.
Fred received his degree in Engineering from the University of Minnesota. He was an Associate with Campus Crusade for Christ, Broker of Millstream Properties in Athens, Ga., and served as a home inspector with FEMA. He and his wife attended Athens Church.
Survivors in addition to his wife, Kathryn, include five children: Maureen (Tim) Goodwin, John Trane, Beth Trane, Michael (Lindsay) Parrish and Jeff Parrish; sisters; Elizabeth (Roy) Rossum and Cindy Trane both of Pelican Rapids MN, and six grandchildren: Canaan, Shiloh and Eden Goodwin and Ben, Gemma and Ellie Parrish.
Fred was well respected by all, and will be sorely missed. He loved the Lord and his family and friends with a mighty love.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, March 14, 2021 at 2:30PM at Lord and Stephens West Chapel.
