Frederick Parker "Fred" Courtney, 91, of Beloit, WI, passed away on Monday, January 30, 2023 at Beloit Memorial Hospital.
He was born on March 25, 1931 on the family farm in Milton Junction, WI, the son of Charles and Relda (Burdick) Courtney. Fred married Janet Lemke on October 15, 1950 in Madison, WI.
Fred worked as a welder and carpenter for over 40 years. He enjoyed watching the Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Brewers, and the Wisconsin Badgers, he was a true Wisconsin sports fan. Fred loved wood working and built more than 35 homes over the years. He was an avid golfer and pool player.
Survivors include his wife of 72 years, Jan Courtney; children, Reverend Debbie Courtney, Dale (Carol) Courtney, and Dori (Bob) Feurig; and four grandchildren, Amanda (Phil) Dobbs, Melissa Baeuerle, Michael Courtney and Nicole Courtney.
He was predeceased by his parents; and son, Dennis Courtney.
There will be no services for Fred. Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home and Crematorium, 2355 Cranston Rd., Beloit, WI, assisted the family with arrangements.
