Fred Stewart died unexpectedly on August 8, 2022, in Temple, Texas.
Fred was born in Port Arthur, Texas and lived much of his early life in the Gulf Coast region. His paternal grandparents owned Stewart's Ice and Poultry Market and as a little boy Fred would ride in the big trucks to make the early morning ice runs to the oil refineries with his grandfather.
Fred came of age during the Sixties and Seventies and lived in California for a while. He eventually wandered back to Texas and finally settled in the Austin area. Fred has lived in the Burnet area for the last few years and is survived by his sister, Pamela Austin of New Mexico, and his brother Mark Crew of Burnet. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews and many friends - including "Little Bit" his adored dog.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, August 12, 2022 at 3:00 pm at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home, Marble Falls, Texas.
