Fred W. Ciaramitaro was born in Saginaw Michigan on
February 2, 1946. He passed away at home peacefully
surrounded by his loving family on December 17, 2019
in Naples Florida due to complications from cancer at
the age of 73.
Fred graduated from St. Andrews High School in
Saginaw, class of 1964. Fred was employed for 30 years
at Super Foods/Nash Finch. Also known as Fritz, he is
survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Mary Kay,
loving father of, Vito Ciaramitaro, (Julie), Jill Bellestri
(Ron), Jon Ciaramitaro (Wendy), proud grandfather of
Vito, Lily, and Alexander, and step-granddaughter, Kate.
Sisters, Rosemary, (Peter), Alfano, Jennie (David)
Shultz.
Fred lived his life to the fullest, always putting his
family first. He was an inspiration to everyone who
knew him, loving and encouraging not only his
family members but all who had the privilege of
knowing him. He loved beyond understanding and
his legacy will live on.
He enjoyed coaching youth football, softball, and
baseball and will forever be known to his players as
Mr. C. He profoundly impacted the lives of hundreds
of children without even knowing it; his quiet humble
wisdom pouring out onto the fields. He never needed to
raise his voice, his calm presence enough to bring his
players to their full potential on and off the field.
He was an avid University of Michigan Football and
Detroit Lions fan. While in heaven, he will no doubt be
dividing his time between assisting the Michigan
Wolverines to victory over the Ohio State Buckeyes and
resurrecting the fledgling Lions football program.
