Frank passed away suddenly due to complications from an aortic dissection on August 20th, 2020. He was 70 years old. Frank touched many lives and was loved by a great many people. He will be missed. Frank was the oldest son of Frank Sr. and Merilyn Wright, born on February 9th, 1950 in Ambler, PA. He had four other siblings: Sharon, Dennis, Donald, and Bonnie.
He graduated from Lafayette college in 1975, and found work as an industrial salesman where he refined his natural ability to connect with other people. He continued in various sales roles for the rest of his career. If you ever talked to Frank, you might imagine he was a very good salesman. He was genuine and honest, and made people feel heard.
He met and married Rosemary Spencer and together raised two children, Franklin Pierce, and Marjorie Elizabeth. He was a loving and patient father who felt a lot of pride in his children. He was very present in their lives and volunteered during many of their extracurricular activities. Frank and Rose divorced in 1990.
Frank went on to remarry Sheila Hacela, who joined the family along with her son Bradley. Once the kids were off to college and out of the house, Frank and Sheila relocated to Georgia. The two were best friends and went on many adventures together, including a lot of international travel and ski trips. Italy and France were favorite destinations for the pair and they shared a lot of great life experiences.
Frank was diagnosed with Parkinson’s a few years ago. He slowed down a bit, but that didn’t stop him from regularly traveling back to Maryland to spend time with his kids and grandchildren whom he loved dearly: Gabriel Lewis, and Abigail May. His newest grandchild was born this year in March: William Pierce.
Frank is predeceased by his mother and father, Frank and Merilyn, and his brother Donald.
Frank is survived by his spouse, Sheila Wright, children, Franklin Wright, Elizabeth Kahan, and Bradley Jordan, siblings Sharon Downs, Dennis Wright and Bonnie Wright, and grandchildren, Gabriel and Abigail Kahan, William Wright, Ridge Jordan, and Adam Alexander.
In a final selfless act, Frank chose to have his body donated to science.
