Frank Walter Darais, Jr., age 93 of Richardson, Texas passed away in Plano, Texas on November 4, 2021. He was born on November 1, 1928, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was a resident of Richardson, Texas for 52 years, with the last 4 years residing at The Monarch at Richardson Assisted Living, where he was loved by all the wonderful staff and residents. He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Oma Dee Vaughn Darais, one son, Mark Darais, five daughters, Debbie Gerdes and husband John, Vicki Darais, Terri Decker and husband Brad, Sandy Daheim and husband Tim, and Jill Deshazo; 16 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren plus beloved nieces and nephews from the Darais and Vaughn families. He graduated from Holy Family High School in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He served two years in the United States Army during the Korean War and was a member of Christ Church (Anglican) in Plano, Texas. He worked for Sinclair Oil and Gas in Tulsa, Oklahoma and Atlantic Richfield Corporation in Dallas, Texas for 38 years in the accounting department. After retiring, one of his greatest joys was driving the school bus for special needs children. He blessed the world with his humor and unconditional love for every person- family, friend, stranger. He will be greatly missed. Preceding him in death: his parents, his brother, Don Darais, and sisters, Deane Griffeth and Frances Mangold, all of Tulsa, Oklahoma. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas.
