Frank R. Noewer, Sr., 89, of Punta Gorda, Florida, died August 22, 2022. He was born March 19, 1933, in Cleveland, Ohio. Frank worked as a cross country semi-truck driver for 33 years. He drove tankers hauling liquid oxygen, nitrogen, and carbon dioxide. His hobbies were playing golf and fishing. He enjoyed having coffee, playing cards, and shooting pool with his buddies. He also enjoyed watching NASCAR and football. Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Donalea Noewer; children, Robin (Bill) Balogh, Dawn (Rick) Heath, and Frank (Sharon) Noewer;
grandchildren, Nicole (John) Meyer, Teah Heath, Rachel Noewer, and Teresa (Philip) Murphy; and great grandchild, Ayden Meyer. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank E. and Helen Noewer, and sisters Alma (Jim) Kerns and Jean (Larry) Pugsley. Private family services will be held at a later date to honor Frank's life.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to National Veterans Foundation, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, or any animal rescue. Arrangements entrusted to the Brunner Sanden Deitrick Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor, OH 44060.
