Frank Charles Ladd was born on March 5, 1946 and died on Sept. 17, 2021, in GA. He was born in Mansfield, Ohio to Frank and Eunice (Stough) Ladd. He graduated from Malabar High School in 1964. He served in the US Air Force stationed in Vietnam and England. He married Ann (Leeming) in England where their only child, Mark John, was born. After serving his Country he was a pilot, eventually teaching other pilots. He was a retired home builder and had his own business, Stand Alone Homes; building 5 homes on his own road, plus several others in his Georgia community. He traveled to all 50 States and took his son to 48. He lived an active and full life until 2019 when Alzheimer's slowly but surely took it's toll. In his life he had meaningful hobbies: building and flying remote controlled airplanes and the last several years building an immense model train layout in his home. He had many friends in the North Atlanta O-Gauge Railroad Club. Thank you to Ashley Glen Senior Living and Memory Care and Brightmoor Hospice for their compassionate care given to him where he resided his last several weeks. He is survived by his wife, Ann, his son, Mark, his sister, Beckie Dunson and several nephews & nieces, great nephews & nieces and great-great nephews & nieces. Also survived by many, many friends he made over the years. He was preceded in death by his parents and his late brother-in-law & friend, Ron Dunson. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later time in Ohio, where his son now resides. Conner-Westbury Funeral Home 1891 W. McIntosh Road in Griffin is in charge of arrangements.
