Frank P. Kral, 89, of Cheboygan, Michigan and formerly of Petersburg, Michigan, died peacefully at his home Sunday, March 27, 2022. Frank was born on September 28, 1932 in Toledo, Ohio.
After graduating from Toledo Macomber High School in 1950, Frank served honorably in the U.S. Navy from 1951 to 1955.
Frank attended the University of Toledo from 1955-57, and in 2018, at age 86, Frank received his Associates degree. He began an illustrious career in April 1957 at Teledyne CAE in Toledo, where he was a senior test engineer for over 35 years.
After retiring, Frank built a home on Twin Lakes in Northern Michigan, where he was an avid outdoorsman and a master angler. He loved nature and animals and had extensive knowledge of all species. He enjoyed Civil War history, coin collecting, and was a gifted woodworker. Friends and neighbors looked forward to his jerky and other homemade treats. He had a fun, adventurous spirit, a truly brilliant mind and an unmatched sense of humor and wit.
Frank is survived by his daughter, Adrienne Kral, Cheboygan, Michigan; Adam's daughter and Frank's granddaughter, Rachael Kral, Toledo, Ohio, and several nieces and nephews.
Frank married Geraldine "Jerrie" Ann Himich on October 12, 1957 and she proceeds him in death, along with his parents, Ladislav and Marie, son Adam, and brothers, Louis and John.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to Hospice of Cheboygan or the Cheboygan County Humane Society.
