On Friday, June 5, 2020, Frank H. Koers, loving husband and father of two, passed away at the age of 88.
Frank was born in March 1932 in Fort Smith, Arkansas to Frank and Ida (Kremer) Koers. He attended The University of Tulsa earning a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree in 1954. While attending college, he became a member of the Kappa Alpha Fraternity, Mu Chapter. After graduating, he enlisted into the Air Force where he served receiving an Honorable Discharge as Captain. He enjoyed a career selling ladies apparel and later in life, medical equipment. He was a born salesman!
On October 3, 1959 he married Rachel Brown in Nashville, Tennessee. They raised two daughters, Emilie and Julie.
Frank was a devout Catholic attending St. Boniface Parochial School and St. Anne's Academy in Fort Smith AR. After retirement, he received his Fourth Degree in the Knights of Columbus.
He is survived by his wife, Rachel, Daughter, Emilie Petrovich and her husband Steve Petrovich and their children Melissa, Austin and Brendan where they reside in Nashville, Tennessee. Daughter, Julie Shirey and her husband Win Shirey, where they reside in Hickory Flat, Georgia and their daughter Claire, who resides in Nashville, Tennessee.
Funeral arrangements: Tuesday - June 9th from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Woodstock Funeral Home
Wednesday - June 10th: 11:00 to 12:30 Mass at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church;
Thursday - June 11th at 11:00 AM he will be laid to rest at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Georgia
