Frank Oliver Hanes, Jr. was born September 4, 1939, in Lubbock, Texas. He had been a resident of Tyler for 27 years, formerly living in Muleshoe, Texas. He worked in tire sales for 36 years.
Frank passed away at the age of 86 on December 31, 2025. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Oliver Hanes, Sr. and Ruth Bray Hanes; brothers, Don Hanes and Ralph Hanes; sister, Daisy Stratton; and son, Don Hanes.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Dorothy Hanes of Tyler; daughter and son-in-law, Justine & Reggie Hall of Odgen, Utah; three grandchildren, Jacob, Joslin, and JoJo, all of Utah; and many other relatives and friends.
A private family memorial service will be held in the upcoming days.
