Frances Ortiz -90 of Pueblo went to her heavenly home on July 25, 2016. Her devotion to her family and her firm belief in God supported her in her struggle and ultimately gave her peace. Frances was born in Wagon Mound New Mexico on July 13, 1926, and raised in Ocate, New Mexico. Preceded in death by her loving husband Joe J. Ortiz, father and mother Joe and Rafaelita Gallegos, brother Carlos Gallegos. Survived by her brother John (Ruth) Gallegos, Sister-in-law Catherine Gallegos. Frances was blessed with a large and loving family, survived by her children, Eddie (Mary) Ortiz, Laura (Fred) Espinoza, Bernie (Sue) Ortiz, Patricia (David) Arteaga, Dolores (Herman) Arellano, Joyce (Bill) Anderson, Carol (John) Radiff, Annette (Ronnie) Bobo, 15 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends. Frances had a wonderful sense of humor and the gift of patience, she loved dancing, listening to her Spanish music, working her crossword puzzles, reading her bible daily and attending church. One of her greatest joys was always spending time with her family and always loved when the family gathered to celebrate birthdays and all the holidays. We want to give a special thanks to her granddaughter Michele Atencio for helping her Uncles and Aunts take such good care of her grandmother during her illness. Viewing will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. Friday, July 29, 2016, at Roselawn Funeral Home.
