Francis Louis Hvizdos

Francis Louis Hvizdos, 85, passed away on September 27th, 2024, at the Morton Plant Hospital in Clearwater, Florida. Francis was born on November 18th, 1938, in Providence, Rhode Island, where he lived until 1962. He was the first of 3 children born to Charlotte Pisarczyk and Louis Hvizdos. Francis lived in Woonsocket, Rhode Island; Cumberland Rhode Island; Webster, Massachusetts; Burrillville, Rhode Island; and Pinellas Park, Florida. He attended Saint Paul's School (1-8) in Blackstone, MA, Saint Mary's Catholic School in Milford, MA, and East Coast Aero Tech. After graduation he served in the Army National Guard from 1960 to 1969 in B Company 118 Engineers, where it was there where he learned to operate heavy equipment. He was married to Jeanne A. Mailloux on September 2nd, 1962, at Saint Joseph's Church in Woonsocket, Rhode Island. He then began a career as a construction worker and then started his own business, Holly Farm Construction Company where he retired from this business in 2005, and shortly after started American Millwright Inc. His favorite hobbies included playing the accordion, playing the piano, dancing, singing and boating on Webster Lake. His favorite music was polka music, country, and the oldies. Working was his main pastime. He was a jack of all trades and there was nothing that he couldn't fix; he loved to tinker in his garage. He also enjoyed scuba diving, creating the Diver Doors Diving Club in Blackstone Massachusetts which is still in operation today. He was a member of the American Legion and Saint Paul's Church in Blackstone, MA. Francis was always there to help a friend in need, he was family oriented, loved hanging out with his friends, and traveling to his home in Pinellas Park FL. He always talked about what a wonderful life he had. He did everything he ever wanted to do and loved his family.
