Francis Joseph Blocki, 88, entered into rest on Wednesday, January 3, 2024.
Mr. Blocki was born in Poland and raised in Wisconsin. He served in the military and served a tour in Vietnam. After 20 years of service, he retired from the military and worked in the civil service for 20 years. Mr. Blocki earned a diploma from Augusta Tech, specializing in air conditioning and refrigeration. He was an avid Green Bay Packers and Wisconsin Badgers fan. Mr. Blocki also enjoyed fishing in his spare time.
Mr. Blocki is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Silveria Blocki; children, Nicoletta Blocki, Monica Blocki, and Francis Blocki Jr. (Brandy); sibling, Sister Lorraine Blocki; grandchildren, Alina Summers and Lydia Summers.
A visitation will be held Friday, January 12, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Elliott Sons Funeral Home on Lumpkin Road. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2024 at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 2607 Lumpkin Rd, Augusta, Georgia 30906. Interment will be held at Beaufort National Cemetery at a later date.
