Age 93, of Ashley, passed away peacefully Saturday, November 25, 2023, at the Ashley Healthcare Center.
Frances was born February 16, 1930, in Falmouth, Mi., the daughter of Roland and Alice (McFarland) Williams. The family later moved to Lake City when she was five. She graduated from Lake City High School. While working at the Missaukee Caf? she met and then married Harold Pardee on January 31, 1958. The couple then made their home in Lansing and raised their family. Frances and Harold spent much time with family at the cabin in Lake City. For many years they hosted an annual 4th of July picnic/reunion at the cabin.
Frances was a wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister. She was well known for her pecan and rhubarb pies, brownies, and potato salad. Frances was a devout Christian who loved God with all her heart and made it a priority to take her children to church at a young age. For that her children are very grateful.
She is survived by her daughters Michelle (Kale) DeMott, Pam (Don) Schaffer, Angela (Jim) Howard, grandchildren, Addison (Taryn) DeMott, Molly (Jason) Heibeck, Christopher (Elizabeth Findlay) Allen, Cierra (Thor) Nielson, Ian Schaffer, Elizabeth Howard, Lucas Howard, great grandchildren Finley, River and Beckett Nielson, Emrys and Ava DeMott, Holden and Harper Findlay, sister Joyce Osborn, brother Don (Ginny) Williams, brother-in-law Sam Pardee, sisters-in-law Lavina Jacobson, Linda Jo Pardee and many nieces and nephews.
Frances was preceded in death by her parents Roland and Alice, husband Harold, brothers-in-law Todd Osborn, Doug Pardee, Bob Jacobson and sister-in-law Joann Pardee.
A private family service will be held at Deepdale Cemetery, Lansing. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Commission on Aging.
