Frances "Dolly" Montgomery, beloved wife, mother and grandmother passed away peacefully on July 4, 2022.
Dolly was born on November 13, 1946 to the late Frank Verde "Jack" Boultinghouse and Ruby Mae Boultinghouse in Kingsville, Texas. She was the younger sister of the late Jack 'Jackie' Lynn Boultinghouse and the older sister to Becky McEntire.
Dolly attended school in Agua Dulce, Texas and went on to graduate college from Southwest Texas University in 1969 with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. That same year, she married her husband, a football player at SWT Michael (Mike) Montgomery. After college, Dolly started her career as an educator in Kyle and Odem, Texas. In 1985, Dolly and Mike and their two sons moved to Marble Falls where she was a dedicated elementary teacher at Marble Falls ISD for many years. Her passion for helping others did not stop there. After retirement from elementary education, she dedicated her time to teaching at the Women's Prison in Burnet. As a faithful member of the Church of Christ in Marble Falls, Dolly lead many bible classes for the children's ministry.
Throughout her life, Dolly took pride in making a house a home for her greatest love, her family. Her legacy is her family. She cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren and her nieces and nephews. You could often find her baking, doing arts and crafts and a playing countless number of board games with them.
Her example of love, kindness and generosity will live on in the countless lives she touched. Dolly was a selfless and passionate servant who gave her time generously to anyone in need. With her bright smile and contagious laugh, she had a way of instantly making everyone feel special and had a genuine concern for others over herself. She was a next-level listener and a world-class comforter.
Dolly is preceded in death by her parents, Frank Verde "Jack" Boultinghouse and Ruby Mae Boultinghouse, and her brother Jack "Jackie" Boultinghouse.
To cherish her memory, she leaves behind countless friends and the many lives she touched. She is survived by her husband, Mike Montgomery, sons Corey Montgomery and his wife, Courtney, of Rockport and Connor Montgomery and his wife, Emily, of Cuero; grandchildren, DLaine Montgomery, Kyler Jack Montgomery and Maelee Montgomery. Her sister Becky and her husband Tom McEntire of Johnson City. Also left behind are her adored nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at the Marble Falls Church of Christ at 2pm on Sunday, July 10, 2022. Dolly will be laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery, Odem, Texas, at 11am on Monday, July 11, 2022.
