ur beautiful, strong, caring and loving, wife, mother, sister, Ma and friend Frances (Fran) Laskofski, age 70 passed away at home on Thursday, December 24, 2020. She was surrounded by lots of love and her family.
Fran was born to the late Paul and Connie Arcudi on December 30, 1949. Born and raised in Pittston, Pennsylvania, she grew up with two older sisters, Connie and Janie, and was also close with her large extended family. She attended Wilkes University, where she received a Bachelor's degree in Sociology and took graduate courses in education.
Fran was naturally caring and compassionate. She took a genuine interest in other people and made friends everywhere she went. Throughout her life she stayed connected and continued to nurture friendships with her school friends, neighbors, co-workers and others.
Fran worked at Garrisonville Elementary School in Stafford, VA for 25 years where she taught fifth grade. She loved teaching and made an impact on countless student's lives. She was a natural with children and was a leader among her peers serving as a mentor to young teachers.
Fran was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish in Triangle, Virginia and recently joined the choir which had been a lifelong goal for her.
Fran's greatest accomplishment and passion was her family. She was married to Wayne Laskofski for 49 years. They had 3 children and 9 grandchildren. Fran and Wayne enjoyed traveling and spent much of their retirement enjoying trips to Europe, Yellowstone Park, The Smokey Mountains, Vegas, numerous cruises around the world and her "Happy Place" in Myrtle Beach. She was an avid Washington Nationals fan and enjoyed going to games in her Nats gear. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren hosting everyone at her house for family dinners and gatherings. Ma (as her grandchildren called her) loved her grandchildren with all her heart and enjoyed spoiling them with love all the time, never missing a chance to cheer them on from the sidelines at their many activities.
Fran is survived by her husband, Wayne Laskofski; her three children, Michael Laskofski (Clare Laskofski), Laura Laskofski (Richard Mann), and Karen Bennett (Michael Bennett); nine Grandchildren, Kiera Laskofski, James Laskofski, Andrew Laskofski, Sara Laskofski, Isaac Mann, Francesca Mann, Anna Bennett, Livia Bennett, Ella Bennett; Two Sisters Connie Katsock and Eugenia Arcudi.
