Frances Dragoo Shamblin

Frances Ellen (Dragoo) Shamblin, 70 passed away March 2, 2023 at Charleston Memorial Hospital following and extended illness.

She was born January 12, 1953 in Sandyville, daughter of the late Melvin and Evelyn Campbell Dragoo. Frances was a homemaker and a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She enjoyed her flowers, both her houseplants and in her garden. She loved going Thrift Store Shopping.

She is survived by sons Donnie Shamblin and Patrick Shamblin; brother Larry (June) Dragoo; sister Barbara Penwell; sister-in-law Judy Dragoo and four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband for 49 years, Luther "Cricket" Shamblin; son Glen Shamblin; brother Roger Dragoo; sister Sharon (Charlie) Clevenger and brother-in-law James Penwell.

Funeral Service will be 1:00 pm Wednesday, March 8, 2023 at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley. Burial will be in the Pine Hill Cemetery, Ripley. Friends may call on the family from 12:00 pm until the time of service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
