Frances Granberry Chisholm, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother ended her sojourn on this earth July 31, 2022.
Frances was born December 1, 1922, in Kansas City, Kansas. She and her family moved to Mississippi when she was a child. Frances graduated from Eatonville High School then attended Jones County Junior College and the University of Southern Mississippi.
Frances and Nelson Truett Chisholm married December 8, 1945. Their adventures together took them down byways and highways across Texas, Louisiana, and Mississippi. After Nelson's passing, Frances relocated to Spanish Fort, Alabama to be near her daughter Sandra and to establish a new community of friends at Westminster Village.
Frances' greatest treasures were her family and her friends.
Frances was preceded in death by her husband, Nelson Truett Chisholm, her sister, Billie Ruth Capehart and her brothers, Donald Gene Granberry and Clyde Wilfred Granberry. She is survived by her daughter, Sandra Elaine Rex and her husband Malcolm Davis Rex, her son, Duane Nelson Chisholm and his wife Arleta Leah Pike, two grandchildren, David Scott Pratt, Jr. and Hunter Pratt, two great-grandchildren, Jackson Pratt and Truett Pratt and numerous dearly loved nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to a charity of your choice, or share a memory of Mrs. Frances with friend or family.
