Frances L. Blackwell passed away on Saturday, August 1, 2020 at the age of 64. She was born July 25, 1956 in Cuero, TX to the late Sterling Blackwell and Doris Rucker Blackwell.
She graduated from Cuero High School in 1975. Frances became a private sitter for numerous families in the community. She worked in daycare at the Calvary Baptist Church for 5 years and then at First Baptist Church for 10 years. She also worked at Cuero ISD for 20 years. She was a member of Little Zion Baptist Church.
Frances is survived by her mother Doris Blackwell, her daughter Ankwanett Shanell Blackwell, her brother Alois S. Blackwell, her sister Jacqueline Luter, her grandchildren Jaryn Jarmon, JaVaree Bacon, and Jasiah Bacon; god-children Tushana Price and Kristian (Muffin) Johnson.
She is preceded in death by her father, Sterling Blackwell.
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, August 7, 2020 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Grace Memorial Chapel, Victoria, TX. Funeral services will be Saturday, August 8, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at Grace Memorial Chapel with Rev. Lawrence Roy, officiating. Interment to follow at Hillside Cemetery in Cuero, TX.
