Funeral Services for Forrest Vernon Redd, 92, of Windsor, SC will be held at three o'clock p.m., Tuesday, October 8, 2024 at the Folk Funeral Home Chapel, Williston, SC with Dr. David Richardson officiating; burial will follow in the Mt. Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be sent to Mt. Beulah Baptist Church, 856 Mt. Beulah Rd., Windsor, SC 29856. Forrest passed away on Saturday, October 5, 2024.
Born in Aiken County, SC he was a son of the late Luman Raymond Redd and Ella Marzella Wall Redd and was married to Anne Fralick Redd for 36 years. He retired as a Forestry Technician from the USDA Forestry Service at the Savannah River Site after 30 years of service. Forrest was a member of Mt. Beulah Baptist Church in Windsor and was a Member of the Masonic Hope Lodge #126 in Williston.
Survivors include his loving wife, Anne Redd; 2 daughters, Paula (Mike) Hoover and Deborah McCollum; his grandchildren Kristen McCollum, Ericia (Chris) Shuttleworth and Christopher Hutto; great-grandchildren, Greyson, Ariah, Gavyn, Grant, Cameron, Trinity, Lexie, Marley, Maeson, Ayden and Matthew; a great-great grandson, Jonah, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters; Eunice Stokes, Inez Redd and Kella Parker and his brothers Wilbur Redd and Luman Mac Redd.
