Floyd E. Brown, 85 died peacefully Thursday, December 3, 2020 at the Gifford Medical Center in Randolph, VT, with his nieces Lori Flint, Lisa Meunier and his wife Nancy by his side.
Floyd was born April 11, 1935 in Sharon, VT the son of Ernest and Laura (Robinson) Brown. He attended school in Sharon and later South Royalton, VT where he graduated in 1953 from South Royalton High School. While in high school he was a member of the FFA and the Boy Scouts.
For two years he served in the U.S. Army, stationed in Tokyo, Japan where he was a Guard at the Base Post Office.
Following his discharge he returned home and worked for his father on the family dairy farm, which he later ran.
On September 15, 1963 he married Nancy Osha in the Betheny Church in Randolph, VT. They made their home in Sharon, VT where they raised their son Galen, until 2016 when they moved to Randolph, VT.
He enjoyed taking Nancy out to eat, especially for their anniversary and seeing children playing.
He is survived by his wife Nancy Brown of Randolph, VT; his son Galen Ernest Brown of South Royalton, VT; a sister Hazel Harrington and her husband Walter of North Pomfret, VT and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
There will be no public services. A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
