Florence Cantrell Wing, 93, of Naples, Florida passed away at AVOW Hospice on February 17, 2022.
Florence was born in Chicago on January 9, 1929, she is the daughter of the late Walter and Estelle (Kostrzak) Jakubczak.
She met her husband Homer "Red" Cantrell while both worked at White Castle Systems in Chicago. The raised three daughters. Homer was transferred to Columbus, Ohio in 1969 and Florence subsequently was employed in Accounting at Gold Circle Stores home office for 18 years.
She and Red retired to Naples, Florida in 1988. She became a member of Shells, Red Hats, Tides, and the Naples Women's club where she was treasurer. She also volunteered for Naples Community Hospital for 30 plus years. She and Red were members of Emmanuel Lutheran Church as were her and her second husband Stan. Red passed away in 2000. At that time, they were married 51 years. She married Stan in 2003 and were married until his passing in 2018.
Florence was a lovely, kind woman of faith who loved her family dearly. She loved Naples and always said "it was the most wonderful place she had ever lived".
For the last 2 years, Flo has lived at Aston Gardens Assisted Living.
In addition to her parents and husbands, Florence is preceded in death by her sister Geri.
Surviving are her brother, Raymond of St. George, UT. Her three daughters, Sandra (Edward) Vogl of Henderson, NV, Joyce (David) of Plain City, OH, and Carole Lienberger, of Naples, FL, her grandchildren, Jennifer (Greg) Hargett of Columbus, OH, Patrick (Allyson) of Powell, OH, Andrew Miller of Nashville, TN, Elizabeth (Jon) Robertson of Hillard, OH, and Lisa Lienberger of New Orleans, LA, her great-grandchildren, Jackson Hargett, Grayson Miller, Mackenzie and Austin Roberson, and Colin and Bode Miller. In addition, she is survived by many friends, nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 777 Mooring Line Drive, Naples, Florida, 34102, at 1:00 PM, Sunday, February 27, 2022, with Pastor Steve Wigdahl officiating.
