Florence L. Caron 101, formerly of The Villages, died April 21, 2020 at Oakland Grove Health Center,
Woonsocket, RI. She met her husband the late Leon E. Caron when he was playing the drums with his band. She was a Jazz fan especially big swing bands. Born and raised in Woonsocket RI, she lived there most of her life. She was the daughter of the late Phillippe and Leontine (Desrosiers) Petrin. Florence worked as a housekeeper for many years while her sons were in school. She retired in 1977. She was a former member of St Ann's PTA, Mount St Charles Academy Women's Club, The Royal Travelers and the Chimney Hill Association. She was involved in many of St Ann's Woonsocket school and church activities. She was a devout Catholic.
Florence is survived by her sons Robert Caron of The Villages and George Caron of Cumberland RI, four grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She was predeceased by two sons Charles Caron and Roger Caron, and siblings, Armand, Rosaire, Leo, and Donat Petrin, Marie Pruneau, and Irene Champagne.
Private burial was held Friday 4/24/20. There will be a memorial mass at a later date.
