Marcy, NY-
Florence M. Candella entered into a new life on September 22, 2022. At the time of her passing she had the love and support of all her family.
Florence was born November 19, 1941, in Utica, the daughter of the late Albert and Sadie (Sarah) Misiaszek Cousin. She graduated from U. F. A., class of 1959, and worked for John Hancock Life Insurance Co. until 1964.
She was married to Michael A. Candella, June 29, 1963 at St. Francis de Sales Church, Utica, NY. She was a member of St. Paul's Church, Whitesboro. Florence and her husband operated Candella's Farm and Greenhouses, Marcy, with the help of her family, until 2013. She often said, "The earth is a garden and we are the caretakers." A strong and courageous woman, who was hard working and loved to give back. Florence loved to cook and especially loved the Christmas holidays. She enjoyed her "winter breaks" in Myrtle Beach, Florida and Charleston with her sister, Eleanor, and her best friend, Sandra Roberts.
She is survived by her husband, Michael A.; her beloved children, whom she was very proud of, Maureen (Bradley) Kass, Seaford, NY, Shawna (Ralph) Papale, Whitesboro, NY, Michael C. Meyer, FL, Meredith Kass, Seaford, NY, Gabrielle and Sara Rose Papale, Whitesboro, NY, and Michael G. Candella, Marcy, NY. She is also survived by her loving sister, Eleanor Scheidelman, Holland Patent, NY; her sister-in-law, Rose Vanno, Utica, NY; many caring nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins.
