Mr. Finley Lowe, 101, of Chime Bell Church Rd., Aiken, SC, husband of the late Evelyn Sizemore Lowe and the late Mae Woodward Lowe, entered into rest in the comfort of his home, on Friday, September 30, 2022.
Born in Aiken County, SC, on November 9, 1920, he was a son of the late Fred and Lila Boyd Lowe. A World War II Veteran, he proudly and with honor served his country in the United States Army and was honorably discharged on January 27, 1945, after serving in the Special Training Unit.
He worked as Brick Mason, a Farmer most of his life and retired from Owens Corning Fiberglass.
In addition to his wife and parents, family members include sons, Larry Finley Lowe, Sr. and Gerald Wayne Lowe and his wife, Patsy, a daughter, Sheila Annette Floyd and her husband, Marvin, sisters, Florence Hutto and Betty Weeks, fourteen grandchildren, twenty-four great-grandchildren and sixteen great-great-grandchildren.
Friends will be greeted by the family on Wednesday, October 5, 2022, beginning at 10 o'clock at Chime Bell Baptist Church, Aiken, SC. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 11 o'clock at the church. Pastor Gary Fleetwood will officiate. Interment, with Veterans Honors accorded by a United States Army Honor Guard, will follow in the church cemetery.
