Fern Corlew, 82, of Gladwin, passed away at her home surrounded by her loved ones on Friday, April 16, 2021. She was born on October 11, 1938, the daughter of Daniel and Ruby (Carpenter) Fogel in Flint. On December 8, 1956, she was united in marriage to her true love Wayne Corlew in Flint. Fern was employed as a teacher's aid until her retirement. In 1982, Fern and Wayne moved to Gladwin, to continue sharing their love and building many memories. She loved her gardens, canning, playing games, and crafting needlepoint. She was a devoted member of the Gladwin Free Methodist Church.
Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 64 years: Wayne Corlew of Gladwin; children: Jimmy Corlew of Gladwin, Lynn (John) Gorman of Manistee, and Valerie (Jim) Sanders of Gladwin; 5 grandchildren: Jeannie, Jennifer, Kelli, Gene, and Jimmy II; 16 great grandchildren; along with numerous extended family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents; sister: Shirley Andrusis; and daughter in-law: Penny Corlew.
Funeral Services will be conducted by Pastor Phil Hortop on Tuesday, April 20, 2021, 11:00 A.M. at the Gladwin Free Methodist Church. Visitation will be held on Monday, April 19, 2021, from 3-8:00 P.M. at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home, Gladwin. She will be laid to rest at Butman Twp. Cemetery, Gladwin. Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers, may be made according to Mid-Michigan Hospice or the Gladwin Free Methodist Church. www.hall-kokotovichfuneralhome.com
