Fermon L. Banks, age 88, of Jacksonville, passed away Friday, July 1, 2022.
A memorial service will be conducted at 12:00 PM on Friday, July 15, 2022 at Saunders Funeral Home, 210 Bell Fork Rd., Jacksonville, NC 28540.
His love and memories will remain in the heart of his wife, Emma Corbin-Banks of the home; children, Fermon L. Banks, Jr. (Darlene) of Newburgh, NY, Carolyn Owens (Thomas) of Richlands, Anthony Banks of Newburgh, NY, Duane Banks (Linda) of Raeford, Sheila Pitcher (James) of New Windsor, NY, Brenda Martinez (Peter) of Litchfield Park, AZ and Warren Banks of Schenectady, NY; siblings, Carson Banks, Elsworth Banks, Earnest Banks (Ruth), Billy Banks (Patricia), Twyman Banks (Charlotte), Willa Duck, Eugenia Owens, Athalene Elliott (Tulus), Greta Vaught and Mary Coleman; 11 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; stepchildren, Demetrious Shepard (Darnell) of Jacksonville, Landon Corbin of Lithuania, GA and Opio Corbin of Tampa, FL, 4 step grandchildren, 2 step great-grandchildren, numerous nephews, nieces as well as a host of extended family and wonderful friends
