Ferman Lee Breakfield of Hopewell, MO., passed away April 15, 1988, at St. Louis University Hospital at the age of 49 years and 13 days. He was born April 3, 1939, in Crawford County MO., a son of Zelma Grace Breakfield Mills and the late James Glenwood Brakefield.
Ferman was united in marriage to Nola Gale Fann on December 24, 1960, at Potosi, MO., and three daughters were born to this union.
He was a life long resident of Washington County and employed with Cominco Magmont Mines in Bixby, MO.
Those who remain to mourn his passing are his loving and devoted wife, Gale Breakfield of Hopewell; his mother Zelma Mills of Springtown; three daughters, Tina Conway of Hopewell, and Shirley Breakfield and Karen Breakfield of Hopewell, MO.
Three brothers, John Mills and wife Donna of Mineral Point, Joseph Mills with the US Army in Germany, and Kenneth Brakefield of Grand Rapids, MI. Two sisters, Della Fritz of St. Louis and Evelyn Stockton of Grand Rapids, MI. One grandson, Christopher James Lee Gibson. Other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, April 19, at the Hopewell Church of God with Rev. Jim Wade and Rev. Phil Wade officiating. Interment was in the Hopewell Cemetery, Hopewell, MO under the direction of Britton Funeral Home, Potosi, MO.
