Felix Soliz, 56, of Canyon, passed away on Tuesday, May 4, 2021. Services will be at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, May 7, 2021 at Brooks Chapel in Canyon with Darren Dye, pastor of Freedom Fellowship Church, officiating. Burial will follow in Dreamland Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, May 6, 2021 at Brooks Chapel. Arrangements are by Brooks Funeral Directors.
Felix was born on May 7, 1964 in Floydada to Pedro and Trinidad (Tanguma) Soliz. He graduated from Floydada High School and was proud to be an Eagle Scout. He married Ruth Dickerson on October 24, 1990. Felix was an avid gold panner and was an active member of Gold Prospectors Association of America (GPAA). He was also a member of Freedom Fellowship Church.
Felix is preceded in death by his parents and several brothers and sisters. Survivors include his wife, Ruth Soliz; four children, A. J. Soliz, Brittany Mercier, Audra Mullins and husband, Kyle, and Adam Soliz; four granddaughters and one grandson; several siblings including a brother, Joe Soliz and wife, Pam; and numerous nieces and nephews.
